LiteZone® IGUs in fiberglass window frames

Replacement of failed IGUs in residence
Replacement of IGUs in high-rise buildings
Upgrade old windows
"Frameless" installations

Use LiteZone® IGUs in fiberglass window frames in new construction or to replace old windows.

The photos below show new fiberglass window frames with LiteZone® insulating glass units in both the fixed and operable windows. The original wood windows were replaced with the fiberglass windows manufactured by Duxton Windows & Doors Ltd. as part of the renovation of this home in Edmonton, Alberta (controls are at top of slides).
The fixed windows on the first floor use LiteZone® L0679 insulating glass units that are 4.4" thick, and use 4 suspended films to achieve R14.3 centre of glass and R12.1 for an overall fixed window that is 4' x 5' (NFRC method).

The fixed windows on the second floor use LiteZone® L0579 insulating glass units that are 3.6" thick, and use 3 suspended films to achieve R13.2 centre of glass and R10.9 for an overall fixed window that is 4' x 5' (NFRC method).

The operable windows use LiteZone® L0379 insulating glass units that are 2.0" thick, and use 1 suspended film to achieve R6.0 centre of glass (NFRC method).

LiteZone® insulating glass units are pressure equalized to reduce stress and ensure a long life. LiteZone® glass units are only air filled and therefore have no concerns with deteriorating insulating values or with decompression of IGUs due to escaping argon or krypton.  The expected lifespan of LiteZone® insulating glass is more than 60 years.
